Olesya Gonserovskaya is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores ecology, psychology and anthropology through layered projects combining traditional and contemporary media. She works with installation, video, performance, drawing, sculpture, sewing and assemblage, creating situations where the viewer can form their own path through the work.

Her practice is concerned with cultural codes, symbols and inherited traditions, and how they can be brought back into the present. Rather than offering fixed meanings, she reworks familiar images and gestures, testing how they behave in a contemporary context.

This approach can be seen in Alphabet (2022), where everyday sayings become visual metaphors; Peace Signal (2024), where a message of peace is translated into Braille and activated through performance; and alive/not alive (2020–2021), where ecological objects enter the space of a modernist library, quietly questioning how flexible and responsive public behaviour can be.
