Valeriia Burliuk is an artist and researcher whose practice is centred on space as an active medium. In her work, space responds, absorbs and guides the viewer into a complete sensory experience.

Her practice develops through close attention to environment: from photography that extends into installation, to bioart, where material presence and scientific processes become part of the artistic language. Her research background, including her work as a research fellow and guest artist at Bauhaus University, Weimar, brings precision and structure to her approach. This is balanced by an intuitive sensitivity to image, atmosphere and the body.

Across her photographic and installation-based projects, space appears as a living system. Sound, light, texture, temperature and rhythm interact to create a tactile field that is subtle, immersive and clear in its emotional direction.
